Simple Joys

No pictures for this post. I should have been quicker with my camera to capture our first snowfall in our new house, but alas, it has mostly melted already. It was enough to cover our not so landscaped backyard with a beautiful cover of white for a few hours. It made me smile. Actually I think I might have even whooped when I saw snow coming down. I might be silly, but I love to see the snow coming down. I love how it covers everything in a beautiful layer of white, if only for a few moments. I love the sparkle in my husband's eyes at even the thought of getting out and pretending to be a kid again with all of that white stuff. I love how excited my kids get to find all of their snow clothes so they can go build a snowman, even if it is only 18 inches high. I love kissing little fingers to warm them up after they come in from the cold. And lastly, I love having an excuse for a nice warm cup of hot chocolate!

A Walking Contridiction

I keep saying that Griff has multiple personalities and he just hasn't been diagnosed. My theory started when he started going by Scott at work, but still wanted to be called Griff by friends and family. I always have to let him make the introductions because I am often unsure of which name he wants to go by when meeting someone new. However his recent wardrobe choices have erased any remaining doubt that there have to be two voices screaming for attention in his cute little head.

A couple of weeks worth of water and it is looking pretty good. Notice the new tree too. I think our new neighbors are quite happy. Now on to the back yard!

Here is a pic of some of the family we had at the baptism.

All in all it was a fabulous time. We loved seeing everyone is who has been so dear to us for the last five years in the Garden 5th Ward. We will miss them.
